Lesson 1 (Alphabet and routines) focuses on building essential literacy skills alongside basic, everyday communication. Students start with an introduction to the alphabet and develop early literacy through Jolly Phonics, learning letter-sound relationships and blending sounds to read words and simple texts independently. Additionally, the lesson builds practical conversation skills through daily routines, teaching students how to greet others, say goodbye, express their feelings, and discuss basic weather conditions.
У цій темі учні: - вивчають numbers 1–10 і говорять про свій вік; - додають opposites та лексику про родину; - поєднують нові слова зі структурами з he / she; - описують членів родини за My Family Speaking Map.
Lesson 3 (Colours, Shapes, Fruits, Veggies) combines the study of basic object properties and food items. In this lesson, students learn to recognize and name primary colors, basic geometric shapes (circle, square, triangle), and foods (fruits and vegetables). In addition to expanding their vocabulary, the lesson covers practical language application: practicing dialogues about colors and preferences (“What colour is it?”, “Do you like...?”), counting items from 1 to 20, as well as sorting and classification.
У цій темі учні поступово переходять від розпізнавання та називання свійських тварин до їх короткого опису. Вони додають прикметники, кольори, звуки та дії, а наприкінці поєднують усе у просте зв’язне висловлювання про тварину.
In this topic, students learn the names of wild and zoo animals and describe them using sounds, colours, adjectives, movements and can / can't. They build from recognition and naming toward a short supported animal description.
